The 7 Chakras

The 7 Major Chakras

The chakras are energy processors that work to maintain balance in our energetic flow. There are 7 major chakras inside of the body that work together to maintain flow, balance, and harmony without the mind, body and spirit. When they are open, balanced, and flowing, they are gateways to consciousness. When they are blocked, energy flow can become stagnant and resistance can develop causing pain, discomforts, diseases, relationship problems, and more. Blocked and stagnant energy flow can result in blocks to personal growth, spiritual ascension, and expanded consciousness.

The energy of each of these emits through the front, back, and bottom. They are called chakras meaning “wheels” in sanskrit, meaning that they should all be active and moving, rotating to keep energy flowing through the body. This keeps the body in balance and flow and can affect one’s mental state, spiritual awareness, relationship with the organs, glands, and nerves. Numbers, colors, sound and vibrational frequencies, and geometric shapes can resonate with each chakra. Think of the flow between the chakras like the highway of the body, we want it free flowing. We don’t want too much or too little energy in each chakra, this can determine the state of your energy flow.

Energy flow primarily moves downward and upward. Downward current is the manifestation or receptive current, and can come from thought form to result or from divine breath to physicality. Upward current is the liberation or expressive current, and is from energy stored in matter to energy released, from form to formless, and from physical to divine. The goal is to consciously control openness of these currents. These 7 chakras are the main ones that open up healing on the physical body, mind, and soul.
